A Call to Conference

Malcolm X

A Call to Conference Malcolm X (1925-1965) was a great world leader for African peoples. We are calling a conference on Malcolm X (November 1-4, 1990 New York City). Progressive individuals and organizations are being asked to submit proposals and papers for conference sessions. Topics should apply the ideas of Malcolm X to the last 25 years of struggle against any and all forms of exploitation. Deadline: September 15, 1990).

The political ideas of Malcolm X have dominated African American radicalism for the past 25 years. We believe that this conference on Malcolm X will be a forum to promote unity for radical Blacks, and progressive forces in general. Our objectives are to maximize discussion and debate, to increase mass mobilization for social protest and to encourage all forms of organized resistance.

The call was also published in French, Spanish and Arabic.
